New York, New York | Champalimaud Design
The Lotte New York Palace Hotel underwent a historic public-space renovation that transformed its main lobby, grand stair, and associated gathering areas into a brighter, more contemporary environment while honoring the property’s landmark legacy. As part of the Champalimaud Design team, I contributed to the main lobby’s Italian Renaissance–inspired stone floor pattern and co-designed Trouble’s Trust Bar with a senior designer — an intimate cocktail lounge tucked beneath the grand staircase that playfully nods to the hotel’s storied history. My responsibilities also included supporting conceptual design, assisting with FF&E and architectural selections, preparing presentation renderings and specifications, coordinating with clients and vendors, and aiding on-site FF&E installation across the renovated public spaces.
