HI, IM LIZ
Liz’s love of design began early in her childhood — constantly rearranging her bedroom, sewing, writing, creating art, and building tiny floor plans for her Barbies with Lincoln Logs. Creativity, imagination, and empathy shaped the way she saw beauty and understood people’s needs long before she stepped into professional design. Her career started at top design firms in New York City and Philadelphia, where she worked on luxury hotels and high-end residential projects around the world. These early years challenged her, sharpened her eye, strengthened her work ethic, and taught her how world-class hospitality is built: with rigor, intention, and a deep study of human behavior. She learned not only how to master design principles — but how to break the rules once she knew them
Elevated design, effortless process.
Liz founded LBD Studio to offer something truly personal and rare: the opportunity for clients to work directly with a principal designer who provides concierge-level involvement from concept to installation. She believes great design requires understanding people deeply — their rituals, habits, routines, and the emotions that define their daily lives.
When she’s not designing, Liz is often seeking out new restaurants with her family, savoring global flavors and memorable interiors, or gathering inspiration from the small rituals that make everyday life feel special. She and her husband, Brad, moved back home to Central Kentucky from Philadelphia in 2020, embracing a slower pace of life with their two children, Jack and Ellie, and their black lab, Maple. Liz stays grounded through her regular barre practice and remains deeply engaged in her community, volunteering on several local boards and committees. Her love of travel, hospitality, and meaningful daily moments deeply informs the empathy and intuition she brings to every project.
